Slovenia March 2012: VW Polo confirms 2nd spot, Kia Rio in Top 10

Slovenian car sales are not having the best of time in this start of 2012, down 12% year-on-year to 5,186 registrations, with the first Quarter of 2012 down 14% at 14,325 units. The Renault Clio still reigns: it is #1 for the 10th time in the last 12 months with 274 sales and 5.3% and 844 and 5.9% year-to-date. The VW Polo confirms it is a serious threat for the 2nd spot the Renault Megane has traditionally held, with 210 units this month vs. 209 for the Megane, both models at 4% share. The Polo is #2 year-to-date with 527 sales and 3.7% vs. 472 and 3.3% for the Megane.
Other great performers this month include the Kia Rio, nicely stuck in the Top 10 for the last 4 consecutive months at #8 vs.#68 in 2011, the Chevrolet Aveo at #15 vs.#25 in 2011, the Kia Sportage at #18 vs.#33, the VW Up! up 9 spots to #25, the Mercedes B-Class up 16 to #26, the Ford C-Max up 28 to #27 and the Peugeot 3008 up 25 to #28.
