New Zealand August 2011: Mazda3 leads passenger cars
Very healthy new car market in New Zealand this month, up 16% year-on-year at 7,465 registrations. The year-to-date figure is up 9% at 56,182 units. The Toyota Hilux climbs back on top of the overall ranking with 340 sales and 4.6% share, and reinforces its lead year-to-date at 2,829 units and 5%.
Possibly for the first time in the country, the Mazda3 takes the lead of the passenger car ranking with 271 sales and 3.6%, followed by the Suzuki Swift at 221 units and 3% but still leader year-to-date at 2,199 units and 3.9%, and the Hyundai i30 with 211 sales and 2.8%.
