Norway July 2011: Toyota Avensis back on podium

Second consecutive month down for Norwegian car sales at -3% and 11,189 units in July. The year-to-date figure is however still up 8% at 79,694 registrations. After giving up its throne to its big sister the Passat last month, the VW Golf reclaims the Norwegian sales leadership with 636 sales and 5.7% share and confirms its 2011 supremacy at 4,201 units and 5.3%.

The Mitsubishi ASX is delivering outstanding figures in Norway month after month, #2 with 477 sales and 4.3% in July and back to #2 year-to-date ahead of the VW Passat at 2,819 units and 3.5%. The Toyota Avensis is up 6 spots on June and back on the podium for the first time since the Japan earthquake at #3 with 410 sales and 3.7%, it is #4 YTD.
