Germany July 2011: Mercedes A Class back in Top 10

Robust month for German car sales, up 10% at 260,907 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 1,883,486, also up 10%. VW resumes its podium monopoly, placing the Golf #1 at 8.6% of the market, the Passat #2 at 3.7% and the Polo at 3%.

After an 8 month absence, the Mercedes A Class is back inside the Top 10 at #6 with 5,715 sales and 2.2%, its best score since October 2010. The new gen Ford Focus continues to progress, up 2 spots to #7 and the Mercedes E Class climbs to #9.

Audi A7

Excellent performance of the Audi A6/A7, up to #12 with 1.8% and the best-selling Audi in July. Other good performers include the Dacia Duster up to #36, the Peugeot 5008 up 37 spots to #66 and the Seat Exeo up 42 spots to #80.

Range Rover Evoque

Update on the latest launches: the Audi Q3 goes from #217 in June to #163 in July with 180 sales, the Opel Ampera is stable at #242 and 25 units and the Range Rover Evoque makes its first appearance in the German ranking at #273 with 9 sales. Lastly, notice the Lamborghini Gallardo at #278 and 8 units sold this month.
