Finland March 2011: Skoda Octavia and Toyota Avensis on top

The Finnish car market is going from strength to strength this year, up a massive 38% in March at 12,445 sales and up 23% year-to-date at 35,349 registrations. This month the Skoda Octavia takes the lead at 562 sales and 4.5% share, just above the Toyota Avensis at 548 units and 4.4%.

The Nissan Qashqai jumps back onto the podium for the first time in 6 months at 496 sales and 4%, followed by the Opel Astra at 3.7%. The VW Golf is down to a weak 5th place at 3.5%. This brings its year-to-date total to 1,679 registrations, still keeping the lead but only 25 units above the Octavia and 47 above the Avensis.

The Hyundai i30 has an exceptional month in 6th place at 407 sales (3.3%), and the Volvo XC60 is up 15 spots at #13 with 199 sales.
