Australia January 2011: Corolla #1 for third consecutive month

Traditionally full of surprises as most of the country stops for Summer holidays, January was further disrupted this year in Australia by dramatic floods in Queensland. The market is down 2% at 73,584 registrations, but -13% in Queensland.

Boosted by a 2.9% financing offer with 4,045 sales and 5.5% share, the Toyota Corolla is #1 for the 3rd month in a row, the first time it manages this feat in Australia. In 2nd place, the Mazda3 reaches its best-ever share at 4.9%, and is followed by a weak Holden Commodore at 3.6%. The Subaru Impreza breaks into the Top 10 for the first time at #9 with 1,765 sales and 2%.
