New Zealand 2008: Corolla passes Commodore for the first time

2008 is the year when the fight between the Toyota Corolla and Holden Commodore turned to the advantage of the Corolla for the first time in New Zealand. Over the first 4 months of the year, the Corolla leads with 2,013 sales and 5.9% share, ahead of the Commodore at 1,719 sales and 5.1%.

The Corolla finishes the year above 6,600 units, 2,000 units above the Toyota Hilux (#2) and Holden Commodore (#3). Over the first 4 months 2008, the Mazda6 is up to 4th, the Ford Mondeo up to 6th, the Mazda2 up to 9th and the Suzuki SX4 up to 11th.
