Spain 2007: Ford Focus repeats at #1

For the second time only, the Spanish car market is above 1.6 million registrations, down 1% at 1,614,835 units this year. The Ford Focus remains the best-selling model in Spain in 2007 with 67,241 sales and 4.2% market share, up 13% on 2006. The Seat Ibiza is down 8% to #2 at 55,474 units and 3.4%.
For its first full year of sales the Peugeot 207 takes off and lands directly on the third step of the podium with 52,741 sales and 3.3%, up 105%. The Citroen C4 improves again, up 6% on 2006 to rank 4th this year at 52,245 units and 3.2%. The Seat Leon also delivers the nameplate’s best year-end ranking ever at #5 with 45,243 sales.
Lower in the ladder, the Seat Altea jumps up 9 spots to #16 and reaches a best-ever 12th place in January and the BMW 3-Series (#18) and Audi A3 (#19) break into the Yearly Top 20 for the very first time.
