New Zealand 2007: Commodore strengthens lead at 5.9%

The New Zealand car market is euphoric this year: with 102,468 registrations, it is up 33% over 2006! The Holden Commodore increases its margin over the Toyota Corolla even though its share slips from 7% to 5.9%. The Corolla goes from 6.9% to 5%.

The Ford Falcon stays 3rd but sees its sales drop 24% to 3,198, its market share going from 5.5% to 3.1%, Strong showings for the Suzuki Swift (#4), Ford Focus (#5), Mazda3 (#8) and Mitsubishi Outlander (#10).
