Canada 1991: Chevrolet Cavalier, Honda Civic & Pontiac Sunbird on podium
The Chevrolet Cavalier is the best-selling vehicle in Canada in 1991.
1.273.477 new light vehicles found a buyer in Canada in 1991. Chevrolet edges past Ford to top the brands ranking with 16.9% share vs. 15.5%. Dodge rounds up the podium with 8.8% of the market ahead of Toyota (7.4%), Honda (7%), Pontiac (5.9%) and Plymouth (4.5%). Mazda, GMC and Mercury close the Top 10.
The Pontiac Sunbird ranks #3 in 1991.
The Chevrolet Cavalier is the best-selling vehicle in the country and the only one to sell over 50.000 units. It distances the Honda Civic and Pontiac Sunbird forming a podium 100% passenger cars. The Ford F-Series is the most popular light truck and the only one in the Top 6, followed by the Honda Accord and Ford Tempo. The Chevrolet C/K pickup, Dodge Caravan and Plymouth Voyager are the only additional trucks in the Top 10. The small Chevrolet Metro (a rebadged Suzuki Swift) and Toyota Tercel are also popular.
