Saudi Arabia 1990: Toyota Cressida and Nissan Datsun best-sellers

The Toyota Cressida is the best-selling vehicle in Saudi Arabia in 1990

In 1990, total new light vehicle sales in Saudi Arabia amount to 144,821. Toyota dominates the market head and shoulders with 44.9% share, distancing Nissan also very strong ate 21.1% share. Mitsubishi follows in third place ahead of Chevrolet and Kia. Isuzu (#6) is the only additional carmaker above 2% share. Notice also US brand Mercury in 10th place, Lexus at #14, Chrysler at #17 and Lincoln at #18.

The Nissan Datsun pickup is #2 in Saudi Arabia in 1990

Model-wise, the Toyota Cressida is in the lead with a huge 15.1% share ahead of the Nissan Datsun pickup at 12.8% and the Toyota Hilux at 12.2%. The Toyota Land Cruiser 100 and Corolla complete the Top 5. The Chevrolet Caprice is at #6, the Mitsubishi Forte pickup at #9 and the Toyota Crown at #12.
