Finland 1956: Russian Moskvitsh and Pobeda dominate
Pobeda is the #2 brand in Finland in 1956.

20.602 new light vehicles found a buyer in Finland in 1956, and then the car market was dominated by Russian brands. Moskvitsh holds almost 20% of the market while Pobeda (in fact a single model, the GAZ M20 Pobeda) follows just under 14%. Skoda is a third Eastern European marque on the Finnish podium at 9.3% share, ahead of Volkswagen at 9.1%. East German carmaker Wartburg rounds up the Top 5 at 5.3% ahead of AWZ, Ford, IFA, Opel and Renault.
