The Lithuanian new car market shoots up 27.5% year-on-year in 2017 to 25.865 registrations, however an estimated 20 to 30% of all new cars registered in this market are immediately re-exported to other European Union markets due to their low selling price here. The Fiat 500 continues to dominate the models charts head and shoulders, advancing a further 42% to a record 13.5% share, and is now followed by the Fiat 500X surging 78% and three spits to 4.8% share. Chances are the entire podium will be 100% Fiat in 2018 as the Tipo ranked #3 in November and #2 in December, landing directly at #5 in 2017 for its first full year in market. The Skoda Octavia (+33%) and VW Passat (+28%) camp on their positions at #3 and #4 respectively but the Nissan Qashqai (+2%) is down four spots to #6. The VW Tiguan (+56%) breaks into the annual Top 10 at #9.
