Latvia October 2017: VW Golf leads, Kia Sportage up 107%

The Kia Sportage more than doubles its sales in Latvia in October.

After a 20.9% slump in September, the Latvian new car market rallies back up 9.7% in October to 1.413 sales, pulling the year-to-date score up 1.3% to 14.115 units. Although the Nissan Qashqai is comfortably headed towards a third consecutive annual win in Latvia with 4.8% share and a 126 sales-advantage over the #2 after ten months, it is not the best-selling nameplate in the country in October. This honour goes to the VW Golf despite a 11% year-on-year drop, followed this month by the Kia Sportage (+107%) with the Qashqai slipping to third place (+34%). The VW Passat (+14%) rounds up the Top 4. Notice also the Toyota Auris up 107% on October 2016, the Kia Cee’d up 136% and the Toyota C-HR returning to the YTD Top 10 at #10.
