Slovakia August 2017: Octavia leads, Hyundai i30 up to #4

New car sales in Slovakia are up 5.2% year-on-year in August to 7.265 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 11.2% to 64.158 deliveries. If the YTD Top 10 models remain unchanged compared to last month, in August the Skoda Octavia edges past the Fabia to #1 with 4.7% market share vs. 4.6% for the Fabia, which now has a 89 unit-advantage over its larger sibling. The Skoda Rapid remains strong at 3.9% share in third place, while the Hyundai i30 jumps two spots to #4 overall, outselling the Suzuki Vitara and Kia Cee’d in this order. The Hyundai Tucson (#7) and Kia Sportage (#10) are the two additional SUVs inside the 2017 YTD Slovak Top 10.
