Moldova May 2017: Dacia Logan leads, Dokker up to #2

Based on data published by our Central European market data partner CE Auto, the Moldovan new car market shoots up 35% year-on-year to 422 registrations, lifting the year-to-date tally up 28% to 1.883 units. The Dacia Logan remains the most popular nameplate in the country, even surging 85% year-on-year this month. The #2 vehicle is unusual: the Dacia Dokker makes a rare appearance inside the Moldovan Top 10 in May, equalling the Hyundai Tucson. The Suzuki Vitara (+138%) and Toyota RAV4 (+100%) make it three SUVs in the Top 5, with the Suzuki SX4 S-Cross (#7) and Dacia Duster (#9) also pointing their bonnet in the Top 10 this month.
