New car sales in Latvia are up 4% year-on-year over the first five months of 2016 to 7.031 registrations. The Nissan Qashqai remains the most popular nameplate in the country with deliveries up 18%. In fact, the Top 4 best-sellers all frankly outpace the market with double-digit gains: the VW Golf is up 21%, the Skoda Octavia up 54% and the Kia Sportage up 65%. But the list of impressive gains doesn’t stop there: the Toyota RAV4 (+23%), VW Tiguan (+49%) and Dacia Duster (+106%) also impress. The Toyota C-HR makes it five SUVs inside the Top 10, landing directly in 9th position.
