The Venezuelan new car market is getting one big step closer to complete stalemate: from a record high 491.899 registrations in 2007 to 23.707 in 2014 further down to 17.585 in 2015 and a minuscule 3.008 in 2016, down a devastating 83% year-on-year. Only ten manufacturers have sold vehicles in the country this year, the main one being Ford with 72.1% market share. Toyota (12.8%), Scania (4.3%), Mack (3.2%) and Mitsubishi (3%) complete the Top 5. Model-wise, Ford logically occupies the Top 5 spots with the Explorer shooting up to #1 this year at 25.6% share above the Ecosport (15.4%), F-250 (10.3%), Fiesta (8.8%), F-350 (8.3%).
