Moldova August 2016: Skoda Rapid teases Dacia Logan for #1

Thanks to our partnership with Eastern European market specialist CE Auto we can share with you today August results for Moldova, a market up 55% year-on-year to 314 units, lifting the cumulative 2016 total up 12% to 2.451 after 8 months. The Dacia Logan improves on its YTD market share this month to 10.2% vs. 8.1% in 2016 but this doesn’t prevent it from feeling the heat from the Skoda Rapid, shooting up 5 spots on July to #2 just one sale below the Logan at 9.9% share. It is now #4 year-to-date. The Hyundai Tucson is kicked down to #3 but the Dacia Duster is back inside the Top 10 at #4, the Hyundai Accent resists at #5 and the Toyota Corolla shines at #8.
