Serbia April 2016: Fiat 500L outpaces Skoda Octavia
The ‘local’ Fiat 500L is back in control of the Serbian market.

New car sales in Serbia are up a whopping 37% year-on-year in April to 3.027 deliveries, leading to a 32% year-to-date increase at 8.845 units according to Central European market data specialists www.ceauto.co.hu. Tying with the Skoda Octavia for pole position after three months, the locally-produced Fiat 500L sails off in April thanks to 241 sales and 8% share, adding up to 521 and 5.9% so far in 2016 vs. 387 and 4.4% for the Octavia. The Dacia Sandero is up 4 spots to #2 and 4.6% share, the Opel Astra returns inside the Top 10 at #3 and the Renault Clio ranks 5th with 3.2% share. Brand-wise, Fiat (14%) reclaims the year-to-date top spot off Skoda (13.9%) thanks to 15.1% share vs. 12.7% in April with Renault (9.8%), Dacia (9.1%) and Volkswagen (7.3%) rounding up the Top 5.
