Lithuania Full Year 2015: Fiat 500 improves further to 12.7% share
The Fiat 500 is the best-selling nameplate in Lithuania for the 4th year running.

It’s a very dynamic year for the Lithuanian new car market in 2015, up 18% year-on-year to 17.071 registrations, however keep in mind roughly 20-30% of all new cars registered in Lithuania are immediately re-exported to other European Union markets due to their low selling price here. Fiat beats the market (+29%) to cement its leadership position in Lithuania with 15.9% share, and in fact all the Top 6 best-selling brands improve their share, with Volkswagen (14.9%) and Toyota ((11.1%) rounding up the podium and Opel (+42%) displaying the largest year-on-year gains. Model-wise, the Fiat 500 flies off to a spectacular 12.7% market share thanks to sales up 34% to 2.168 units, a long way above the Skoda Octavia (+35%), Nissan Qashqai (+19%) and VW Passat (+103%).
