Liechtenstein Full Year 2015: VW Golf leads, Porsche 911 up to #20

The Porsche 911 manages to break into the 20 most popular nameplates in Liechtenstein.

New car sales in Liechtenstein are up a very dynamic 14% year-on-year to return above 2.000 units for the first time since 2012 at 2.049. Volkswagen remains king of the castle (literally) despite seeing its market share thaw to 16.7% vs. 17.6% last year. Audi (+23%) improves to 11.6%, followed by BMW (+4%) while Mercedes (+36%), Seat (+33%), Skoda (+32%) and Opel (+25%) all lodge spectacular gains. Model-wise, the VW Golf is still by far the best-seller with 129 deliveries and 6.3% share, but the Seat Alhambra – at a world-best #2 – is catching up (+47%) as are the VW Polo (+65%), Skoda Octavia (+46%) and Audi A3 (+33%). The VW Passat doubles its sales compared to 2014 in 7th place, the Mercedes C-Class lands at #9, the Audi A6 at #10 and the Porsche 911 at a very impressive 20th spot.
