Venezuela October 2015: Jeep reborn in market down 72%

The 2010 Jeep Cherokee is still assembled in Venezuela.

The Venezuelan new car market is stuck to an almost standstill, down 72% year-on-year to a meagre 613 units. Jeep is reborn from its ashes this month with 27.4% share thanks to 168 deliveries, 166 of which are the 2010 Jeep Cherokee still assembled in the country. Mitsubishi is actually up 52% year-on-year to #2 with 126 sales and 20.6% share and Toyota is the only other manufacturer able to sell over 100 units in Venezuela this month. Ford (94) and Chevrolet (60) follow.
