Sweden October 2015: Volvo XC90 back inside Top 30

The Swedish new car market continues on its euphoric run, with sales up 12% year-on-year both in October (31.563 units) and year-to-date (280.216). Volvo is still master in command at home with 21.9% market share vs. 19.5% year-to-date above Volkswagen (14.6%) while Audi (6.6%) and BMW (6.2%) both overtake Toyota (6.1%). Notice also Ford up 66%, Mazda up 45%, Mini up 152% and Jeep up 190%. Model-wise, the Volvo V70 wins the race again and even outpaces the market with sales up 20% to 2.918 and 9.2% share, above the VW Golf up a fantastic 34%, the Volvo S/V60 (-13%), Volvo XC60 (+33%) and VW Passat (+17%). The Toyota Yaris jumps 25% to #8, the Audi A4 is up 22% to #11 and the Ford Focus is up 36% to #17. Further down, the Volvo XC90 leaps back up 38 ranks on September to #29, the Hyundai Tucson is down one to #45, the Mazda CX-3 down 10 to #53, the Suzuki Vitara up 14 to #57 and the Mercedes GLC breaks into the Swedish Top 60 for the first time at #58.
