Another record falls in Denmark this month: October sales are at their all-time high thanks to a 3% year-on-year improvement to 16.880, edging past the previous October best dating from 2012 (16.871). This result lifts the year-to-date total to a record 172.136 units after 10 months, up a splendid 9% on the same period last year. Volkswagen keeps the lead of the Danish brands ranking with 1.975 sales and 11.7% followed at a distance by Peugeot (9.4%), Toyota (7.9%), Ford (6.9%) and Citroen (6.7%). Suzuki enters the Top 10, kicking Nissan out. In the models ranking, the VW Up resumes its reign after 3 months led by the Peugeot 208, but given it surrendered to the Peugeot 108 in January and February, this month is only the 5th win in 2015 for the Up. The Kia Rio leaps 24 spots on September to land in 2nd place, the Peugeot 208 is down two to round up the podium, the Toyota Yaris is up 9 to #4 and the Suzuki Celerio up 10to #13. The honeymoon period is over for the Opel Karl, down 15 ranks to #21.
