Slovakia May 2015: Suzuki Vitara breaks into Top 10

New car sales in Slovakia are up 3% year-on-year in May to 7.153 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 32.413 units, up 4% on 2014. The Skoda Fabia edges back past the Octavia this month thanks to 451 sales and 6.3% share vs. 400 and 5.6% but the Octavia retains the year-to-date pole position at 1.870 units vs. 1.726 for the Fabia. The Skoda Rapid rounds up the podium like last month, year-to-date and in 2014, the VW Golf, Hyundai i30 and Kia Cee’d follow like year-to-date as well. The big news in the Slovak Top 10 in May is the arrival of the Suzuki Vitara: up to 9th place with 132 sales and 1.8% share for its 2nd full month of sales in the country. Notice also the Opel Corsa up 10 spots on April to #11 and the VW Golf Sportsvan up 32 to #12.
