Qatar Full Year 2014: Land Cruiser leads, Nissan Patrol up 81%

New car sales in Qatar are up 6% year-on-year in 2014 to 95,171 registrations. As it is the case in every country in the region, Toyota dominates the brands ranking head and shoulders with 34.5% share, above Nissan at 16.3%, Hyundai at 7.7% and Mitsubishi at 7.2%. Notice Ford at a strong 6th place, Chevrolet at #8, GMC at #10 and Renault at #15. The models podium is unchanged on 2013 with the Toyota Land Cruiser taking the lead at 8.2% share above the Hilux at an estimated 6.8% and the Prado at 4.9%. The star of the year is the Nissan Patrol, up 81% to land at an impressive 4th place with 3.5% share. The Toyota Corolla (+50%), Hyundai Santa Fe (+46%), Mitsubishi Pajero (+77%) and Toyota Yaris (+228%) also shine.
