UK nations November 2014: First podium for the Captur

Thanks to SMMT, alongside the UK market as a whole for November, as is the tradition on BSCB we zoom in on the British nations, with England (+8%) and Scotland (+7%) outperforming Wales and Northern Ireland (+6% each) in globally very uniform performances across the country. Like last month, the Ford Fiesta only manages to top two nations (England and Wales) with the VW Golf #1 for the 2nd straight month in Northern Ireland and the Vauxhall Corsa reclaiming the lead in Scotland.

First Top 10 ranking for the Peugeot 108

The hero of the month is the Renault Captur: it outsells the Clio in at least two of 4 nations, reaching its first ever podium in any UK nation in Northern Ireland where it ranks #3 below only the VW Golf and Ford Focus, and breaking into the Welsh Top 10 for the first time at #8 with 2% share. The Fiat 500 comes close with a fantastic 2nd place in Scotland, while the Peugeot 108 celebrates its very first Top 10 ranking in any UK nation at #10 in Scotland. Other great performers this month include the Mercedes C-Class #9 in England and the Ford Kuga #5 in Wales.
