Sweden November 2014: Dacia Duster breaks into Top 20

As always Sweden is the first cab off the rank for new monthly sales, and this month Swedish new car sales slow down their growth to 5% YOY at 25,916 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 276,804 units, up a splendid 14% on 2013. Brand-wise, both Volvo (21.2%) and Volkswagen (15.4%) are above their YTD levels, while Audi is up 19% year-on-year to third place at 7.7%, BMW is up 22% to #4, Kia up 27% to #6, Peugeot up 25% to #8, Ford up 22% to #10 and Dacia up 109% to #15.

The Top 7 best-selling models are identical to the YTD ranking, with the Audi A6 performing way above its traditional level this year at #8 and 2.2% and the Toyota Yaris up to #10 vs. #14 YTD. Further down, the Peugeot 208 is up 21 spots on October to #13, the Kia Sportage up one further rank to #15, the Dacia Duster breaks into the Swedish Top 20 for the very first time, up 10 spots on last month to #20 and the Citroen C4 Cactus lodges its first Top 50 ranking at #50, up 18 ranks on October. Notice also the Smart Fortwo/Forfour up to #58 and the Lexus NX up two spots on its inaugural ranking last month to #65.
