Rare enough to highlight it: the Danish new car market is actually down year-on-year in November at -5% to 15,155 registrations, the lowest November figure since 2011. Fear not, the year-to-date tally still stands at an all-time high 173,631 units after 11 months, up 3% on 2013. There’s no one stopping the VW Up: the German minicar lodges an out-of-this-world 28th straight month in pole position, however at just 709 sales and 4.7% it is below its YTD level of 5.4% and only 39 units above the Peugeot 108 in 2nd place (the gap between the two nameplates was 305 sales in October). Below the VW Polo very strong again in third position, the Mitsubishi Space Star flamboyantly gains 14 spots on October to land at an excellent #4 ranking with 518 sales and 3.4%. Notice also the Citroen C1 up 9 to #14, the Citroen C4 Cactus stable at #17, the Mercedes C-Class up 11 to #20 and the Audi A4 up 15 to #21.
