It’s official: never before had Czech consumers purchased as many cars as in 2014: thanks to a record month of November at 16,365 registrations, the year-to-date total after 11 months stands at 175,626 deliveries, more than the previous annual record of 174,009 reached in 2012. November is the 5th record month in the Czech Republic so far this year and the third consecutive one! Skoda delivers a particularly strong score in November at 31.3% share vs. 26.4% YTD, ahead of Volkswagen (9.9%), Hyundai (8.8%) and Ford (7.1%). In the models ranking, below the Skoda Octavia (11.8%) and Rapid (5.7%), the Fabia benefits from the launch of its third generation on November 11 to reclaim the third place it holds year-to-date, after leaving the podium for the first time in the nameplate’s history last month. Other great performers include the Ford Fiesta up to #4, the Skoda Yeti at #5 and 3.9% vs. 2.7% YTD, the Dacia Duster doubling its YTD market share at #7 and 3%, the Nissan Qashqai up 17 spots on October to #20, Peugeot 2008 up 11 to #38 and the Mercedes C-Class up splitting its October ranking in two at #41 thanks to the new model.
