After a few months-hiatus, Vietnam is back on BSCB. 9,842 new light vehicles found a new home in the country in September, with Toyota holding a gargantuan 38.1% share of the market, above Ford at 14.1%, Mazda at 11.5% and Kia at 10.8%. There are a few significant changes in the models sales charts since the last time we had a snapshot of it – last June: the Toyota Fortuner is back to the pole position it held over the Full Year 2013 thanks to 869 sales and 8.8% with the Toyota Vios at #2 and 7.4% and the Toyota Innova rounding out the podium at 7.1%. The Honda City jumps up to 4th place with 4.8% share vs. #18 in June and #12 in 2013, the potential effects of the arrival of the new model pictured above. The Ford Ranger shines at #6, as do the Mazda BT-50 at #9 and Mazda CX-5 at #10. Finally we welcome the Ford Ecosport inside the Vietnamese Top 15 this month at #14 with 231 sales.
