New car sales in Greece continue their recovery: up 9.5% year-on-year in August to 3,693 registrations, still by far the weakest month of the year. The Greek market is up 21% on 2013 so far this year to 48,789 units. After two months dominated by the Hyundai i20, the Toyota Yaris reclaims the pole position it holds year-to-date thanks to 223 sales and 6% share. Surprisingly for a slow month, the models ranking is very stable and faithful to the year-to-date order with the Opel Corsa at #2, the Hyundai i20 at #3, VW Polo at #4, Ford Fiesta at #5 and Nissan Qashqai at #6. Other great performers this month in Greece include the Citroen C3 up to #7, the Suzuki Swift up to #9, Volvo V40 (#13), Hyundai i30 (#14), Toyota Aygo (#15), Kia Rio (#19), Hyundai i10 (#22), Mini (#25) and VW Passat (#30).
