After the Full Year 2013, it is now time to share with you an All-models ranking for the first half of 2014 for Mexico. This is exclusive to BSCB and you won’t find it anywhere else on the net! Slightly different Nissan truck splits mean the Nissan Pick up finds its way inside the Top 10 over the period at #10 whereas it does not appear in the monthly rankings I publish. Other than that, the Top 13 is in line with what we observed in June. In fact, with the Chevrolet Trax up 17% year-on-year to #16, the entire Top 16 is composed of only Nissan (7), Chevrolet (4) and Volkswagen models (4), bar one: the Honda CR-V at #13. Compared to H1 2013, there are two newcomers inside the Top 20: the all-new VW Vento landing directly at an astonishing 7th place with 16,192 sales and the Mazda3 up 14% to #19 at 6,835 units thanks to the new model.

Further down, notice the Mazda CX-5 up 59% to #21, the Toyota Corolla up 38% to #22, Renault Duster up 16% to #23, Chevrolet Silverado up 33% to #25 and Nissan Frontier up 23% to #30. Other great gainers inside the Top 100 include the Toyota Yaris up 240% to #42, Honda City up 51% to #46, Toyota Avanza up 26% to #47, Seat Toledo up 38% to #61, Audi A3 up 133% to #71, VW Amarok up 240% to #74, Toyota Highlander up 79% to #76, Mitsubishi ASX up 3466% to #80, Nissan Versa Note up 860% to #88 and the GMC Sierra up 231% to #95.

On top of the VW Vento, there are 15 new nameplates making their first appearance in the Mexican sales charts over the period, led by the Jeep Cherokee at #60 with 2,098 sales and the Suzuki S-Cross at #87 and 1,287 units. But the big event is the (very late) launch of the Korean manufacturer Hyundai in the country, accounting for 5 new models on its own: the Grand i10 at #115 with 597 sales, the ix35 at #118 (587 units), Elantra at #125 (503 sales), Veloster at #230 (13) and Genesis at #250 (one). Finally, let’s welcome the Peugeot 2008 at #165 and the Porsche Macan at #211.
