Canada June 2014: Ford and Honda outperform market up 2%
The Macan lifts Porsche Canada sales up 66% in June.

The new car market in Canada is up 2% year-on-year in June to an excellent 175,682 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 909,186 units, up 3% on 2013. Ford outperforms the market in pole position, up 8% to 30,401 sales while Toyota (+1%) underperforms slightly but remains 2nd at 16,760 units, keeping Honda at bay at 14,727 sales (+10%). Hyundai (-6%) but most of all Chevrolet (-19%) suffer while Nissan is up an insolent 29% on June 2013 at 10,561 units. Notice also Jeep up a spectacular 32% at #10, Mazda and Audi up 14%, Lexus up 18%, Cadillac up 19% and Porsche up a beautiful 66% thanks to the Macan.
Ford Escape sales are up 39% year-on-year in Canada in June.
In the models ranking, the Ford F-Series continues to reign supreme and evolves exactly like the market at +2% to 11,290 sales, ahead of the RAM Pick-up at 7,501 units and the Honda Civic at 6,461 (+12%). The Hyundai Elantra is back up 2 spots to #4 and also reclaims the #4 spot year-to-date while the Ford Escape is up a splendid 39% in 5th place and the Toyota Corolla is up 18% to #7. Notice also the VW Jetta up 21% to #11, the Ford Edge up 7 spots on May to #15, Nissan Versa up 81% to #25 and the Honda Fit up 122% to #29.
