Panama Full Year 2013: Toyota Hilux and Hyundai Accent on top

For the first time in 18 months and thanks to Sandro I can share with you official data for Panama over the Full Year 2013. Better late than never as they say! The Panama new car market is up a very healthy 11% year-on-year in 2013 to 56,147 registrations. There is a new leader in both the brands and models rankings: Toyota is now the most popular carmaker in the country thanks to sales up 15% on 2012 to 11,936 and 21.3% share, overtaking Hyundai up just 7% to 11,831 units and 21.1% while Kia is up a massive 26% to round up the podium at 7,805 sales and 13.9%. Model-wise, the Toyota Hilux reigns supreme with 3,546 sales and 6.3% share ahead of the Hyundai Accent at 5.9% and the Toyota RAV4 at 4.8%.
