Kuwait March 2014: Nissan Patrol up to second spot

The Kuwaiti new light vehicle market is up 3% year-on-year in March to 16,376 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 41,786 units, up a shy 1% on 2013. The Toyota Prado continues to dominate the models sales charts head and shoulders: another 1,871 sales for a 11.4% market share in March, adding up to 5,297 and 12.7% so far in 2014. Excellent performance of the Nissan Patrol, boosted by its facelift and up to 2nd place with 1,090 units and 6.7% share this month, 2,045 and 4.9% year-to-date (#4). The Toyota Hilux is back to the third spot it held over the Full Year 2013 and now holds year-to-date, while the Nissan D22 is down to #4 but remains #2 in 2014.
The GMC Sierra ranks just outside the Top 10 in Kuwait this month.
Further down, the Hyundai Santa Fe is back up 22 spots on February to #8 thanks to 341 sales and 2.1%, the Hyundai Tucson back up 26 to #9, GMC Sierra up 10 to #11, Dodge Charger up 14 to #15 and the Nissan Micra is up a mammoth 110 ranks to #17, now ranking #43 year-to-date vs. #109 in 2013. Other great performers this month in Kuwait include the Dodge Durango up 24 spots to #20, Nissan Maxima up 99 ranks to #22 and Toyota Sequoia up 15 to #30. Among new arrivals, let’s salute the Infiniti Q50 landing at #109, the Mitsubishi Mirage at #135 and the Maserati Ghibli at #152.
