Belgium March 2014: Dacia at all-time high #9
Dacia sales are up 40% in Belgium in March.

New car sales in Belgium are down 0.5% year-on-year in March to 52,808 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 148,532 units, down 0.4% on 2013. Volkswagen reclaims the top spot it held over the Full Year 2013 off Peugeot (leader in February) thanks to 5,329 sales and 10.1% share and in spite of dropping 10% year-on-year. Renault is #2 at 9% (-6%) followed by Peugeot. BMW is up a very dynamic 17% to 5th place, Audi is up 14% and Ford up 16%. The biggest year-on-year in the Top 25 is once again delivered by French-Romanian brand Dacia, up 40% to 9th position, its highest ever ranking, also reached last December. Notice also Suzuki up 34%, Honda up 29%, Mazda up 25%, Lexus up 65%, SsangYong up 179%, Jeep up 48%, Maserati up 1700% and Tesla breaking into the Top 30 at #30.
The Nissan Qashqai is up to #7 in Belgium this month.
Model-wise, the VW Golf keeps the lead with a large margin thanks to 1,782 sales and 3.1% ahead of the Renault Scenic at 1,304 units and 2.2%. The Citroen Berlingo holds onto the third step of the podium but just: the Renault Clio is only 5 units below this month at #4 while the VW Polo is up 5 spots on February to #5. Helped by the arrival of the new generation, the Nissan Qashqai goes from #16 last month to #7. The Ford Fiesta for its part is up 12 ranks to #9 and the Citroen C4 Picasso up 3 to #10. Notice also the Skoda Fabia up 8 to #18, Dacia Sandero up 6 to #19, Duster up 7 to #21 and Logan up 11 to #36, Mercedes CLA up 7 to #41, BMW 3 Series GT up 29 to #47 and the Seat Leon up 67 to #48.
