Singapore February 2014: Mercedes & BMW lead market up 38%

New car sales in Singapore are back up a huge 38% year-on-year on a devastated February 2013 to 1,875 registrations this month, bringing the year-to-date total to 3,965 units, up 9% on 2013. Mercedes remains the favourite brand in the country thanks to 356 sales and 19% share, adding up to 938 and 23.7% so far in 2014, BMW reclaims the 2nd spot it held over the Full Year 2013 thanks to 322 units and 17.2% share, only two units above Toyota this month. Note that the brands podium all gain more ground than the market: Mercedes is up 66%, BMW up 64% and Toyota up 122%. Notice also Nissan up 407% to #4, Subaru up 1175% (!) to #9, Kia up 463% to #10, Opel up 200% to #18 and Infiniti up 300% to #24.
