Bahrain Full Year 2013: Toyota Prado dislodges Land Cruiser

After a 6 months hiatus, the Middle-Eastern region is back on BSCB, just in time for Full Year 2013 figures! We start with Bahrain, extremely dynamic again this year at +23% to 52,576 registrations. Big event atop the models ranking: we have a new leader in 2013, boosted by the arrival of the facelifted version in the 2nd half of the year, the Toyota Prado is up 29% to 4,582 sales and 8.7% share, enough to dislodge the Toyota Land Cruiser from pole position at 4,353 units and 8.3%, up “just” 8% year-on-year. The next 3 models are unchanged and like in 2012 Toyota monopolises the Top 4 with the Hilux up 37% at #3 and the Corolla down 13% at #4.

The Hyundai Tucson is once again the best-selling non-Toyota in 5th place with sales up 9% to 1,545. Outstanding performance of the Nissan D22 Pick-up which multiplied its 2012 score by 3 to reach #6 with 1,533 units. Other great performers in Bahrain in 2013 include the Nissan Altima up 32% to #7, Hyundai Santa Fe up 165% to #14, Kia Sportage up 116% to #15. the Nissan Sentra landing directly at #19 and the Jeep Grand Cherokee up 66% to #31.
