New car sales in New Caledonia, a French overseas territory located North-East of Australia, are down 6% year-on-year both in February to 767 registrations and year-to-date at 1,620 units. If the Ford Ranger easily maintains its lead over the models ranking, the Dacia Duster passes the Toyota Hilux this month to rank #2 with 42 sales and 5.5%, however remaining #3 year-to-date. Spectacular progression of the Peugeot 207, up 9 spots on January to #4 compared to #33 over the Full Year 2013, with the other great performers of the month including the Renault Kangoo up 26 ranks to #7, the Suzuki Swift up 17 to #11, the Dodge RAM1500 up to #18 and Chevrolet Captiva up to #20. Ford dominates the brands ranking with 13.4% share above Peugeot (8.6%) and Hyundai (7.7%) while Dacia (#4 with 7.6%) is well above Renault (#9 at 5.7%).
