Good news coming from Sweden: new car sales enjoy their 4th consecutive month of year-on-year gain in October, up 5% to 25,332 registrations and reducing the year-to-date loss to 4% at 218,397 units. The Volvo V70 lodges a very solid month at 7.9% share vs. 7.1% year-to-date, while the VW Golf is up to #2 with a brilliant 1,374 sales and 5.4% share and the Volvo XC60 is up to #5 and 4.1% vs. 3% year-to-date. But the best performer atop the models ranking this month is the Toyota Auris: boosted by the new Touring variant, it is up to a best-ever #6 (also reached last August) with a record 928 sales and 3.7% share, almost double its year-to-date level of 1.9%.
The Toyota Yaris is also in great shape, up 13 ranks on September to #9, the VW Tiguan is up a further two spots to #15 vs. #23 year-to-date, the Citroen C3 is up 20 ranks to #29, the Renault Captur breaks into the Swedish Top 50 for the first time at #42 with 146 sales and 0.6%, the Ford B-Max is up to #53 vs. #99 year-to-date and the Dacia Sandero doubles its sales year-on-year to land at #57.
