Kazakhstan August 2013: Lada Largus breaks into Top 10

Thanks to Irina from www.akab.kz, I can share with you August sales data for Kazakhstan, a market that defies gravity this year: after gaining 71% year-on-year in June and 87% in July, it is up another 76% in August to 15,062 registrations! This brings the year-to-date total after 8 months to 99,898 units, up 75% on the same point in 2012 and already a new all-time high for Kazakhstan: the previous record was 95,313 units over the Full Year 2012, which was itself a massive improvement on the previous best of 60,513 in 2007… In this unbelievable context, Lada continues to gather a larger market share than in Russia at 34.8% year-to-date, placing 4 models in the Top 5 so far in 2013.

Daewoo Nexia

The Lada Priora remains the most popular model in the country with 1,726 sales and 11.5%, reinforcing its year-to-date lead at 12.7% share, the Daewoo Nexia continues to impress, up on further spot on July to #2 at 1,273 units and 8.5% and passing the Lada Samara at 1,223 sales and 8.1%. The Lada 4×4 is very solid once again at 6.3%, even gaining ground year-to-date on the Lada Granta back up to #5. The Lada Largus breaks into the Kazakh Top 10 for the very first time, up 3 ranks to #8 and 2.9% share, the VW Polo is up 381% year-on-year to #14, the new generation Kia Cee’d makes its first appearance in the Top 20 at #15, the Toyota Corolla is potentially already boosted by the new generation at #20 and the Chevrolet Aveo makes itself noticed at #25.
