As is the tradition on BSCB, we are following the evolution of 1-ton pick-up sales in Thailand, where most of them are manufactured for the rest of the world. 49,811 new pick-ups found a buyer in Thailand in February, bringing the year-to-date total just under 100,000 units at 99,487. Big event this month: the Isuzu D-Max reiterates its performance from last December and beats the Toyota Hilux to become the best-selling pick-up in the country thanks to 18,230 sales and 36.6% share. More impressive: if in December its advantage over the Hilux was a mere 157 units, this month it is up to 1,184, enabling the D-Max to take the lead year-to-date with 36,044 sales and 36.2% share vs. 34,997 and 35.2% for the Hilux! The rest of the ranking is uneventful with positions 3 to 7 unchanged on January.
