In March, new car sales in New Caledonia, an overseas French territory North-East of Australia, are down 1% year-on-year to 891 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 2,607 units. Surprise on top: the Toyota Hilux takes the advantage over traditional leader the Ford Ranger for just 2 units however at 55 sales and 6.2% vs. 53 and 5.9% for the Ranger. The Dacia Duster rounds up the podium at 51 units and 5.7%, followed by the Nissan Navara and Isuzu D-Max, making it no less than 4 pick-ups in the Top 5 this month! Notice also the Nissan Micra up 30 spots to #8, the Citroen C1 up 34 to #11 and the Citroen C-Elysee landing directly at #22 for its first month in market.
