Denmark December 2012: Fiat 500 on podium

Danish new car sales are down a worrying 30% year-on-year in December, however the Full Year 2012 still reaches a record 170,763 units, up 0.4% on 2011. No surprises on top: the VW Up! dominates for the 6th time in the last 7 months with an outstanding 991 sales and 9.3% share and the Skoda Citigo ranks at a world-best #2 for the third month in a row at an equally impressive 526 units and 4.9%. The Fiat 500 is up 18 spots on November to land at #3 with 377 sales and 3.5%, its best ranking in the country since June 2010.
Other great performers this month include the Audi A4 up 25 ranks to #4, the Mercedes C-Class up 11 to #5, Nissan Qashqai up 13 to #9, Audi A3 up 18 to #10, VW Passat up 15 to #11, Ford Mondeo up 12 to #12, Nissan Micra up 16 to #16, BMW 3 Series up 15 to #25 and the Citroen C3 Picasso up 35 to #29. Two all-new models make their first appearance in the Danish ranking this month: Renault Clio IV at #37 and the Skoda Rapid at #64. The Bratislava sisters (Up!/Citigo/Mii) lodge another clear victory over the Kolin sisters (Aygo/C1/107) with 1,657 sales and 15.5% vs. 608 and 5.7%.
