Iceland October 2012: Skoda Octavia catches up on Toyota Yaris

561 new vehicles found a buyer in Iceland in October as the country gets ready for the harsh polar winter, bringing the year-to-date total to 7,378. The Skoda Octavia is in pole position for the 2nd consecutive month with 76 sales and 13.5% share, adding up to 451 units and 6.1% so far in 2012. This is now only 20 sales below the Toyota Yaris, #2 this month with 45 sales and 8% and still leader year-to-date at 471 units and 6.4%. The VW Caddy brilliantly rounds up the podium thanks to 22 sales and 3.9%.
The Kia Cee’d stays very robust at #4 and 16 units, followed by the Honda CR-V at 15, the VW Passat, Hyundai i20 and Peugeot 208 at 13 and the Hyundai i30 and VW Tiguan at 12. The Hyundai Santa Fe is up 22 spots to #13 in October, the Renault Trafic is up 24 to #14, and the Skoda Yeti & Toyota Hilux both up 29 ranks to #18 and #19 respectively.
