Andorra 7 months 2012: BMW #1, holds almost 12% of the market

Andorra, aka the Principalty of the Valleys of Andorra, is located in the Pyrenees mountains inbetween France and Spain and is one of the smallest countries in the world, home of 82,000 inhabitants. Thanks to DC from Autoweek.nl I can now update you on the Andorran new car market: over the first 7 months of 2012, sales are down 18% year-on-year to 858 units.

Andorran consumers definitely have posh tastes: BMW is the favourite brand in the country like in 2011 with 100 sales for an exceptional 11.7% market share. It is followed by Volkswagen at a round 10%, Land Rover at 7.3%, Audi at 6.8% with Fiat rounding  up the Top 5. Notice the absence of any French or Spanish brands even though Andorra is nested between these two countries.
