France LCV July 2012: Renault Master and Peugeot 208 shine

In a dark European context, Light Commercial Vehicle sales in France buck the trend, up 2% year-on-year in July to 30,594 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 237,955 units, down 6% on 2011. The Renault Kangoo unsurprisingly leads the way again with 2,738 sales and 8.9% share, ahead of the Fiat Ducato at 1,900 units and 6.2% while the Renault Master jumps into the podium for the first time since last February at #3 with 1,744 units and 5.4%.

Excellent performance of the Mercedes Sprinter, up 2 spots on an already very solid month of June to #7 with 1,335 sales and 4.4% vs. 2.9% year-to-date. The Peugeot 208 breaks into the monthly Top 10 for the first time at #9 with 1,107 units and 3.6% while the Mercedes Vito is up 5 ranks to #13 and 2.3%. Further down, notice the VW Crafier up 5 spots to #29, the VW Golf up 11 to #36 and the Isuzu D-Max up 13 to #42.
