Right in the middle of Summer, Icelandic consumers bought 590 new cars in July, bringing the year-to-date total to 5,761. The Toyota Yaris reaffirms its leadership in the models ranking, but owes its July pole position to its hybrid version, accounting for 7 of the model’s 37 sales this month. It is #1 year-to-date also at 342 units and 5.9% share. The Skoda Octavia, #2 year-to-date with 286 sales and 5%, is also #2 in July at 35 units and 5.9%, followed by the Nissan Qashqai with 34 sales and 5.8%.
